Regional Head of Marketing, APAC
Suresh Balaji is the regional head of marketing, Asia Pacific for HSBC Retail Banking and Wealth Management. Suresh double-hats as the global head of marketing for HSBC Insurance.
Prior to HSBC, he worked for GSK and WPP. He has lived and worked in Asia, Middle East and the United Kingdom. He has held various leadership roles in strategy, sales, products, media, brand management and advertising.
Suresh believes in a future where technology will augment human capabilities and mitigate deficiencies to help us achieve our potential. Suresh is a leadership council member of the Male Allies of Hong Kong. He founded the HSBC Male Allies Network. He has two daughters to whom he reads ‘Goodnight Stories For Rebel Girls’, at every given opportunity.
He is a chemistry graduate and a post-graduate in Global Business from the University of Oxford.
