Lai has over 20 years of experience in IT and Sales. He began his career with PMAL in 2006 in the IT field, and held a number of positions of increasing responsibility from IT, Planning, and sales organizations, and became the Head of Sales, Hong Kong & Macau, in 2018. In his role, Lai is involved in driving the tobacco industry forward through digital transformation across all work streams in the sales operations, and has reshaped the sales strategies to make it more consumer centric and supportive of innovation throughout the daily sales operations. Lai is also responsible for driving the company’s sales efforts, strategic partnerships, and business development strategies. Lai was assigned to Philip Morris International’s (PMI) Operations Center in Switzerland as B2C Operations Manager in 2018, where Lai was responsible for managing the global service training to support PMI’s reduced risk product campaign.
